Afrobeats musician Davido has come into the spotlight after a curious interaction with activist VeryDarkMan (VDM). The exchange concerns both Davido and his uncle, Osun state Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The situation escalated after Governor Adeleke expressed his support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election at an APC campaign meeting in Abuja.

Davido Likes Viral Post Criticizing His Uncle
VDM labeled Governor Adeleke as an APC puppet, while he accused Davido of promoting an anti-APC narrative during his uncle’s election campaign. The activist claimed Davido was aware of Adeleke’s political ties with the ruling party.
The activist listed old tweets where Davido had previously stated he could never support the APC, underscoring the contrast between those views and Adeleke’s current political alignment.
VDM argued that the Osun gubernatorial contest was essentially ‘APC versus APC,’ suggesting that Adeleke was concealing his true political alliances to avoid voter backlash.
Furthermore, VDM critiqued celebrities, warning Nigerians against letting admiration for public figures affect their voting decisions, suggesting that celebrity endorsements are often driven by personal interests.
Davido’s unexpected like on VDM’s post adds an intriguing twist to the ongoing narrative surrounding his family’s political affiliations.
