Sharon Ademefun Discusses Family Life and Parenting

Sharon mentioned that her childhood was grounded and largely private, stating, “I had no real awareness of the family’s wealth until I turned 21 and moved to Nigeria.” She expressed that it was only upon her arrival in Nigeria that others began to respond with surprise regarding her family’s background.
Comparing her father’s parenting style to her own, Sharon noted, “While my dad would happily queue with the family at Disney like any other visitor, I now go the VIP route when taking my kids to the same theme park.”
She spoke affectionately of her father’s quiet demeanor, saying he never flaunted his wealth. Interestingly, she revealed that he has recently started encouraging her children to embrace their identity, joking, “the popular slogan associated with Davido’s 30BG crew had ‘entered his spirit.'”
Sharon highlighted humorous and nostalgic memories of Davido’s childhood antics and shared family artifacts, including her late mother’s chequebook from 1995 and the achievements of her father’s banking career.
Sharon’s reflections have sparked discussions online, showcasing a different side of the family’s wealthy background.
