She made the statement following a police raid on the Governor’s residence, sparking speculation about its possible connection to the December 2023 murder of the renowned blogger. The Governor spoke for her son Timothy Kinoti to Sunday service congregants in Meru County.

Those reporting that my son has been arrested, its sheer propaganda, back to the sender. And if there is any of my family members wanted for investigations, I will be ready to present.”

Kawira Mwangaza stated.

Furthermore, the Governor believes that the report about her son’s arrest is orchestrated by her political adversaries, who had previously attempted unsuccessfully to impeach her.

“They tried impeachment but in vain, they tried to file court cases, but it did not work because the hands of your bishop are clean.”

She said.

Kawira Mwangaza also questioned the DCI regarding apprehending Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) who claimed to know the details of Sniper’s murder.

“They are all over the country claiming to know the killers and how and where the incident took place. If the DCI will not hold the elected leaders responsible, then they should stop making further arrests.”

Tragically, Sniper’s lifeless body was discovered in Mutonga River, four days after his disappearance. Government pathologist Johansen Oduor concluded that Sniper died from manual strangulation, causing asphyxia.

“He was strangled to death and thrown to the river.”

Oduor stated.

Additionally, Sniper’s body showed signs of torture, including injuries to the head and chest, along with broken ribs.

“There were injuries on the chest- rib fractures on the right side and head injuries.”

However, according to the pathologist, there were no defense injuries, suggesting that the blogger was subdued prior to his death.
